As President of Pivotal, Samantha oversees all internal operations, develops and implements the company’s financial strategy, and manages every aspect of project delivery. Always looking for innovative solutions by leveraging technology, Samantha leads a high-performing executive team dedicated to creating improved systems and user experiences customized for federal agencies.

A thoughtful communicator with a strong software engineering background, Samantha always prioritizes, strategies, and plans to ensure Pivotal consistently delivers long-term, agile solutions that lead to successful client outcomes. She is interested in understanding the needs of her team and clients, and encourages open communication throughout all project phases. Using this approach, she and her team ensure that all projects meet and exceed scheduling, budgeting, and quality expectations.

Samantha is a marine science graduate of North Carolina State University. She began her career in computer science as an Application Developer for i4DM, where she gained valuable experience as a Java Developer and SharePoint Developer and Administrator. There, she recognized the need for more women-owned companies in the federal market and founded Pivotal IT Services, an EDWOSB and HUBZone certified company, which focuses on government contract work that enhances and modernizes IT systems.

As Pivotal’s Chief Information Security Officer, Luke develops and implements innovative security approaches to protect federal organizations’ critical assets and maintain a strong defense against cyber threats. Using his expertise in risk management, he assists clients in prioritizing essential zero-trust security tasks and guides them through implementing the necessary architecture, processes, technologies, and security personnel to achieve their goals.

A strong proponent of using a collaborative work culture, Luke finds great value in listening to his team’s expert input and his clients’ industry experiences. He believes this level of communication is integral in designing and deploying agile cybersecurity solutions that help clients succeed in the digital space.

Luke has gained invaluable experience as a developer, program manager, account manager, and senior executive throughout his career spanning more than four decades. In his current role at Pivotal, Luke combines his knowledge of cutting-edge technology and implementation processes to deliver high powered zero-trust security solutions that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and protect federal organizations’ critical assets.

As Pivotal’s Senior Vice President, Dan stays on the leading edge of solution architecture, technical engineering, cybersecurity and cloud modernization. He and his team design and implement enterprise-wide services that deliver DevSecOps, DataOps, and cybersecurity best practices. They have a strong reputation for delivering successful, cost-effective solutions that answer federal organizations’ biggest technology challenges.

Using a proactive, people-focused ideology, Dan approaches each project using open and transparent communication to deepen understanding and foster collaboration. His DataOps and visualization skills also help create a seamless delivery experience as he works between technical and business stakeholders to translate business needs into software solutions.

Dan is a Virginia Tech computer science graduate with many years of experience in software engineering, development, and management. This unique combination of skills enables Dan to take a more holistic approach to each project, focusing on the people, process, and technology involved in delivering solutions that will positively impact the lives of others by ensuring they have access to the services they need.
